The Axiom Series

Look at that cover for The Wrong Stars, out in early November! Art by Paul Scott Canavan, who is wonderful.

It’s just the beginning. I sold Angry Robot two more space operas in the Axiom series. The Dreaming Stars will appear in Fall 2018, and book three (tentatively titled The Forbidden Stars) will come out in 2019. Early responses to the first book are so far very positive, and I’ll share some review coverage and such shortly. It’s an exciting new chapter of my life as a writer, and I hope you’ll all join me in the cold and lightless void.

Hi Tim – I’m about 100 pages into “The Wrong Stars” – and I can’t put it down! Just want to write that it’s rare to have that problem with a book. Well-written, engaging characters, stimulating action – well done! Can’t wait to read the next two. 🙂

Loved the first book now on the second. Definitely fits in the the vibe of Firefly, Killjoy, or the game Core Space. Thank you. G

    Hi Tim,

Just finished audiobook The Wrong Star. I do a lot of reading and listening to audiobooks and wanted to say that I enjoyed this thoroughly. I appreciate and take great pleasure in new concepts and things that take me by surprise — your story did that. Thanks.

My biggest disappointment is that I wanted to listen to the next two books, but can’t find audiobooks for them. Have they not been done yet? If not, and they are in the works, please try to keep the same narrator. He did an excellent job.

Thanks! Alas, no one has bought the audiobook rights to the next two volumes. It’s disappointing for me too.

  10. Greetings Mr. Pratt,

I,ve been a big fan of your writing style since reading Liar’s Blade and the duo’s following tales. Also really enjoyed City of the Fallen Sky! Currently listening to the audible version of The Dreaming Stars. Which is a really awesome take on Sci-Fi. I really enjoyed the details built into the “Liars” in regards to their motives, culture, and personality and look forward to future Starfinder novels!

I also could not help but wonder what type of adventure an Elite Dangerous novel by yourself might lead to. If you haven’t heard of the Elite Dangerous world… you should, really cool sci-fi and gaming background. I think you would like it. Look into it! Keep on writing and I wish you and family a Happy 2020!

Hi Tim, i was wondering if there was gonna be a Axiom Book 4? I can’t help but feel a little let down with how things ended in The Forbidden Stars. I loved the book don’t get me wrong but I was left with a hole and felt things could go even further and the death of Kaustikos was a bit of a letdown and seemed rushed, i love the series so much, but i thought i’d share an opinion, thank you

Hi, your axiom serie was my first series of books I have read in its original englisch language. My mother language is dutch. I have enjoyed it a lot. As for a foreigner I have found it easy to read. I recommend this series to my friends. As for me I hope you can write more stories in Axiom space cause to me it is like Star Trek , the possibilities are endless.
